It was a historic day on Long Island, NY as Friday July 14th marked the grand opening of the first ever Givngo Fuel Gas Station! A philanthropic gas station, the first of its kind, where 1 penny per gallon is donated back to PinkTie.org. Supporters came out in the rain for this unique and great cause including PinkTie members. The eye catching colors of the gas station combined with the charitable component is sure to grab passerby’s attention.
On Tuesday July 18th, various news/media outlets arrived in Freeport, NY to capture the ribbon cutting and press conference that was held at the first Givngo Fuel Gas Station. Channels 2,4,7,11 and 12 all reported on Givngo Fuel as the first gas station of its kind in the country, donating back to local charities such as those for cancer research. Despite the visually appealing aspect of the gas station, the media coverage that came to the press conference helped spread the word on a great PinkTie initiative.

Mission: To establish a National Campaign utilizing Pink branded gas stations or pumps to raise funds for local charities.
How it works: For every gallon pumped, one penny will be given to the PinkTie 1000 Foundation, a 501c3. In turn, funds will be donated to local charities every quarter. For example, if 100,000 gallons are pumped in a month, $1,000.00 will be raised towards a donation to local charities.
Benefit: This program will give individuals an easy and passive way to help raise funds for local charities or causes that provide resources and/or services to local communities.

“If more people realized that giving back would not only grow their business but also make them feel good because of the positive impact they are making in their community, I think the world would be a better place. This is a remarkable opportunity for people to give back and support local charities.
